As I am a first time mummy, I was so excited to buy 服服 (clothes) for my baby. After waited for 4 months and finally knew my baby's gender, I just cant stop myself from buying him new clothes despite Ah Mei and Chee Guan trying hard to stop me.
As a first time mummy, I have no experience on how to choose the correct size. So, I picked the newborn size. The consequence is some clothes end up too small for Ethan.
Ah Soh (my confinement lady) scolded me for being so silly. She said the clothes I bought are more suitable for a "anak patung" (doll). She said I should choose 1-3 month size especially my baby is a boy. Added to that, Ethan is longer in size.
Therefore, some clothes are donated. The rest I keep for my next baby (if any in near future :p).
This red piece wore once on 27/02/2013.
This "all I need is grandma" also wore once on 02/03/2013.
This yellow piece didn't even get a chance to wear. I like this piece very much. I thought to put this on Ethan when we go out for shopping because is long sleeve. However, after one month of confinement and when I & Ethan are ready for outing, Ethan outgrew this piece liao... :-(
Another reason I didn't keep those clothes is because it is a taboo for a newborn to wear coloured clothes (at least my mum, my MIL and Ah Soh believe in that taboo).
