i genuinely curious abt horseshoe crab since young and after i read an article abt the same in National Geographic... Ah Ma's house which located in a fishing village got many many horseshoe crab but of dead one...
y curious ?? simply bcoz horseshoe crab is a spesies exist since dinosuar era (ard 500 million years), still surviving and have evolved a little bit only, still resemble one when they are first born......
i grabbed the opportunity to hold this tiny facsinating creature during my visit to a fish farm in Langkawi
Facts to know abt horseshoe crab :
- not a crab but closely related to spider
- its blood is light blue because because is copper based
- have a total of ten eyes
- has a sharp pointed tail but but it is not dangerous helps move the crab though the sand
- it eggs are green in colour, like green bean wor (uncle of a restaurant said so)
can eat one? how does it taste like?
